The HR Leadership Awards nominations categories are:

  • Innovation (individual and team)
Honors an individual or team for their thought leadership in creating and implementing
new ideas, methodologies, or approaches that improve organizational performance.
Team nominations should be limited to a maximum of 2 - 6 team members (key
contributors).

  • Leadership (2 categories: organizations with 1000 or more employees and organizations with 1000 or fewer employees)Honors a senior HR professional whose influence and leadership enables their
organization to achieve improved business performance.

  • Mentoring
Honors an individual who demonstrates leadership, dedication and support to the
professional growth and development of others.

  • Strategic Alignment (individual and team)
Honors an individual or team for developing and delivering HR solutions, operating for
a minimum of two years, which strengthened the organization’s ability to achieve its
strategic business objectives. Team nominations should be limited to a maximum of 2 -
6 team members (key contributors).

  • The Sister Eymard Gallagher Award for Corporate Social Responsibility'
Honors an individual or team for their leadership, dedication and achievements in
helping their organization create positive change in the communities in which they
operate.

  • The Dr. J.P. London Award for Promoting Ethical Behavior
Honors the outstanding individual who demonstrates considerable and enduring
commitment to ethical business practices in the field of HR management. It is granted
by the judges to the year’s nominee whom best depicts the spirit and intent of this
award based on the response to Question 5 in Section A of the nomination form.

Recognition is also given annually to Emerging Leaders
The individuals selected for this recognition are chosen by the HR Leadership Awards
Committee. Nominees in this category have demonstrated significant leadership or
innovation in one or more of the functional areas of HR. Their contributions should
make them viable candidates for one of the six HR Leadership Awards within the next
few years. An Emerging Leader for purposes of this recognition would be someone
who is a step or two away from a top-level HR position and is considered to have high
potential for promotional opportunities within his or her organization.
